2010 Cadillac Sports Design Cars Concept SRV

This is the concept of next Cadillac. This concept is an idea from its Wayne Cherry who is responsible in making design concept. After a distinguished career at General Motors that culminated in his being appointed only the fifth vice president of design in the company’s history, he decided to build a concept car of his own.

Wayne Cherry has always loved concept cars. Then you take a close look at Cherry’s VSR street rod, at the hardware, the workmanship, and, most of all, the design, and you realize it could easily take center stage as a concept car on the GM stand at the next international auto show.
"You just can't stop designing, you just can't stop being involved with cars," Cherry explains. "You start to do something like this, and it turns into a concept vehicle." He makes it sound like a winter garage project that got a little out of control, which at a basic level perhaps isn't a million miles from the truth.
Then you take a close look at Cherry's VSR street rod, at the hardware, the workmanship, and, most of all, the design, and you realize it could easily take center stage as a concept car on the GM stand at the next international auto show.
He joined GM in 1962, straight out of California’s Art Center design school, and was assigned to the advanced design studio at the Tech Center, where, among his first assignments, he assisted on a project that became the first Oldsmobile Toronado, one of the high watermarks of Bill Mitchell’s stint as GM design chief.
At Vauxhall, he worked on the gullwing XVR, the brand's first-ever concept car, which was unveiled at the 1966 Geneva show. His wild, mid-engine SRV, shown at the 1970 Earls Court Motor Show in London, was a four-door, four-seater that stood just 41 inches tall.
The Equus, one of the star concepts of 1978, was a crisp, state-of-the-moment roadster that rivaled the best from Bertone and Pininfarina. "That's the most uncompromised design I've ever worked on," Cherry said at the time.

Cadillac CTS (2008)

Overview:

The 2008 Cadillac CTS is redesigned this year, gaining new styling, more available power, and new features. The '08 CTS is similar in size to the 2003-2007 generation and has similar interior accommodations. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available for the first time. Base and Direct Injection models are offered. The base model has a 263-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine. Named for its engine, the Direct Injection model has a 304-horsepower V6. Both engines team with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. CTS's interior is redesigned and is available with real wood trim. Other newly available features include steering-linked headlamps and keyless entry and ignition. A navigation system is optional. Aggressive and elegant, expressive and sophisticated, the 2008 Cadillac CTS exudes a dramatic design presence. This all-new luxury sedan not only pushes Cadillac's acclaimed design theme higher, it aims to redraw the boundaries of the normally conservative luxury sedan category. Inside and out, the 2008 CTS contradicts many traditional design conventions. CTS' design expresses its serious performance intent, yet also is more elegant and luxurious. It's a sedan in the heart of the luxury market, yet reaches for the charisma of a sports car. CTS is thoroughly new and contemporary, even while it evokes the grandeur of classic Cadillac cars. Since the inception of the first-generation car in 2002, CTS is about trend-setting design. The edgy form of the CTS initially created controversy. But from the moment it hit the market, its design also attracted lots of buyers, with design often noted as a top reason for purchase. The all-new 2008 edition extends that edgy and contemporary character, with an injection of elegance. On the exterior, there's no mistaking the five-passenger sedan's stronger stance, thanks to a two-inch wider track. Additionally, the overall shape of the CTS features a faster profile with more rake, coupled with surfaces that add elegance and grace. Borrowing from Cadillac's legendary heritage, design cues include vertically shaped headlights and taillamps, signature light emitting diode (LED) exterior lighting, horizontal spline lines and its dihedral-shaped hood, all highlighted with many bright and jeweled accents. Just as definitive of CTS' evolution in design is the dramatically new interior. Like the exterior, it expresses luxury and performance themes with appointments that are both purposeful and elegant. Advances in surface development, technology, materials and construction combine to make the CTS cabin a compelling blend of technical sophistication, precise tailoring and luxurious character.

Best Cadillac CTS Accessories

While Cadillacs are already known for their distinct look and high-class appeal, many are still looking to take their vehicles up a notch. With aftermarket Cadillac CTS accessories, you can change any number of details on your car, making it fit with your specific style preferences as well as giving it that little something extra that sets it apart from the other models that are out there. You can choose either large or small alterations, but none of them are a huge investment in terms of labor or cost. Most of the interior or exterior accessories available are priced affordably and often can be installed easily and can sometimes even be placed right over the existing factory trim.
One of the most noticeable Cadillac CTS accessories is the grill. As it is oftentimes the first thing someone sees, being front and center and quite large on the vehicle, it is definitely one of the first places many car owners choose to customize. Also, they come in a variety of styles, lending very different looks depending on which one you select. You can select the more common billet style grille or else one made to look like mesh or dual mesh grill pattern. Additionally, there are stainless lower accent grills that you can add on to your vehicle as well to complement your front grill. All styles also come in various types of metals in order to suit your specific preferences.
One of the simplest ways to customize the exterior looks of your CTS is to fit aftermarket rear trunk spoilers and wings, wheel well fender trim, HID headlight upgrade and rain guard window visors. If you want a slightly less showy-customization or else if you simply want to continue on the road of vehicle personalization, there are plenty of options to choose from as well. Covering existing mirror covers or swapping out the standard door handles for ones with glitzy chrome Cadillac CTS accessories is a very easy install and typically costs under $100. These seemingly small touches can really add a great deal of bling to your vehicle and yet are a very simple alteration.
Another place that is great for customization on your Cadillac is on the pillar posts, and the stainless rocker panel molding. These are not always thought of when it comes to customizing cars as not everyone knows that they can be changed. This makes them all the more interesting of a detail to upgrade. As not everyone has them, these types of accessories will definitely give your car that little something extra.
Moving forward, there are ways to customize the inside of your vehicle as well. Customizing you interior can really add to your driving experience and impress those riding in your vehicle. Treat yourself to Cadillac CTS part or Cadillac accessory to customize your interior for style and comfort with wood dash kits, GPX navigation systems, dash covers, LED interior light bulbs, legal window tint, radar detector, cargo liners, seat belt covers and much more. Sometimes, your car styling accessories can be necessary things like floor mats, custom seat savers, windshield window shades or steering wheel covers.
There is absolutely no limitation to the exterior and interior modifications you can add to your Cadillac CTS. The biggest limitation will come down to the budget you have and your vision to create a style that you are comfortable with. Whether you choose to start large or small, once you see the possibilities for customization, you will inevitably start looking to add personalization everywhere you can

The 2010 Cadillac SRX

The 2010 Cadillac SRX falls under the category of the conventional fully modern luxury crossover vehicle. The SRX model is sharing most of the features from the General Motors's other vehicles. The powertrain used in the SRX is the biggest difference when compared with the Provoq model. It uses the E-Flex powertrain that is based on the Volt along with an extender, the fuel cell range.
The design of the vehicle has more aggressive SUV appearance. The most notable difference between the SRX and the Provoq is the grille. The fuel cell powered Provoq had the controlling the shutters in grille that opens and closes depending on the cooling demands by the powertrain. While in the SRX, the system is reverted much similar to the STS and the CTS models. The fog lights that work on the LED technology in the front corners have been replaced by the more conservative looking lights. The vehicle appears like a Cadillac and fits with the family of CTS cars.
More conventional door handles, side mirrors, tail pipes and the door handles have been changed when compared with the predecessor model Provoq. The navigation screen unit is fitted in the vehicle, similar to that of CTS. The vehicle comes with the parking brakes that are operated electronically and can be activated by the use of switch on the console, which is located at the left side of the shift lever. The footwell space in the vehicle is freed up by the EPB other wise the space would be occupied by the foot activated unit.
